Paverpol Sculptures

I first discovered Paverpol when I was surfing the web for fabric sculptures. I had recently purchased a Golden paint product which was a textile hardner and I was wanting to find out what other people had done with it. I didn't find what I was looking for, but did find Paverpol. I recently have taken a class to become a CPI (Certified Paverpol Instructor), so any Paverpol sculptures you see here, you can take a class from me and I can teach you how to make it yourself!!! Paverpol is a fairly new product in the USA and it is amazing. The really is not limit as to what you can create with it--just use your imagination!

Below is my 2nd Paverpol sculpture made with paper. I have made several other sculptures using cotton fabric, but have found that I love working with paper better. You can get much better seamless detail with paper and it takes paint very nicely. This one is called Maiden Tree and stands 22 1/2" including her base.

Here is the first Paverpol sculpture I made using paper. I also added handmade paper beads to embellish her with, these are the larger beads you see in the photograph. Her name is Marigold and she stands 23" tall including her base.

Pencil Portraits

In this portrait, I combined two photographs together to create the montage above. This is a memorial portrait. Both men featured were KIA in WWII.

This portrait was completed as a Christmas present.

This portrait is a memory of my dad. He passed away from heart disease in 2006. I chose to leave out some of his messy hair wisps as this is how I remember him most. Although as he got older, he didn't have quite as much hair! I love and miss him every day.

This is also a memorial portrait. The sister of the lady you see here commissioned me to complete this portrait for the widowed husband as a Christmas present. She wanted something special to give to him as a rememberance of his wife who had passed away a few months earlier.
